Last Sunday in Wujiang (China) Stefano Ghisolfi got his first victory in Climbing World Cup. After the 10th place in the World Championship in Gijon (Spain) and the 6th in the World Cup in Mokpo (South Korea), the C.A.M.P. athlete completed his incredible 2014 climax giving Italy that success it's dreamed of for seven years, since Flavio Crespi (another C.A.M.P. athlete) won in Chamonix in 2007. Thanks to his victory, Stefano has reached the 7th place in the overall World Cup and he is ready to make great competitions in Inzai, Japan (25-26 October), and Kranj, Slovenia (15-16 November).

«My goal in the World Cup is to reach the final – Stefano explained us before leaving for Asia –. Once gained the final, all results are good for me!». But this time, two years after the Xining stage of 2012 World Cup when he achieved the 3rd place, Ghisolfi played the perfect game that opens him new horizons. «Still can't believe it – Stefano said –. This is my first World Cup victory and my second podium: China brings me good luck! A dream comes true…thanks to everybody for the support!».

Climbing legend and C.A.M.P. athlete Cristian Brenna
, that in 1998 was the first Italian climber able to win a World Cup stage, congratulates Stefano: «He has been simply fantastic, able to write an historic page of Italian sport climbing». C.A.M.P. is proud and happy too, of course: we follow every Ghisolfi achievements from 9a+ on rock to competitions and we are sure that he will amaze us again!
